The First Week

So we finally got to bring our little girl home. My parents we in town for her first week and a half of life so I thought this taking care of baby thing was a breeze. Phew...did I have a quick wake up call after they left! Anyway, Nora had a busy first week. She had many visitors from grandma's and grandpa's to Mommy's friends to neighbors. It was great...she loved everyone holding her. She wasn't all that crazy about getting handed off from one person to the next, but boy did she like it once she got there!!!! We went to the doctor 2 times because she was looking a little yellow and we were right. Her billy-rubin (?) count was up which cause jaundice and is pretty normal in breast fed babies. We had to supplement her on formula for a couple feeding and when we took her back the next day she was already looking better and her counts were back to normal. We had many dinners at restaurants and even went to see the bluebonnets!

This was a first for all three of us!!!

We had a blast with Mommom and Papa in town. We were very sad to see them go, but I guess it is time for Mommy to get to know baby all by herself. GULP....
