And Still Nothing

New to report. Same as the last couple doctor appointments. A little more "thinned out" but still at only a "1". I have one more visit scheduled for next Monday, but I think she is going to go ahead and schedule an eviction date for sometime next week regardless. This is bittersweet news for me...I always said I wanted her to be able to come on her own...when she was ready...but now...I am a lot more open to the idea. I guess lugging her around for 40 weeks makes you change your opinions a bit! Maybe I am now ready to share her a little bit more than I was a couple weeks ago. Either way, I am definitely ready to have her out and enjoy the next phase of mommyhood!

And who knows...maybe she is just waiting to be able to celebrate her birthday with her Mommom Lehman on the 31st...after all my doctor is going to be out of town on vacation this weekend so what better time for her to come right?!?!

Nothing New...Sigh...

Status quo...that is all the doctor could tell us today. Evidently Nora is not ready. What scares me is does this mean she is like her mother? I begged her to stay put until after we were in the house and now is she going to show me who's boss and stay in there as long as she can?!?! Rotten children...

Well, the good news is that the doctor is already talking about setting an "eviction" date at our next appointment. "Eviction"...her term...not ours...but I am going to use it because we thought it was quite funny and possibly appropriate! I guess we will just have to wait and see...any day everything can change.

Week 32

Wow...8 weeks left. Good news is Nora is right on track. Healthy heartbeat and measuring right on 32 weeks (technically she is only 31 weeks and 6 days today). So, as far as we are concerned she is right on target. This is great news for us since we have so much we are trying to do over the next couple of months! Speaking of which, we are officially under contract to purchase the house George wrote about last time. We are still waiting on the inspection...hopefully we will get that done this weekend and all will be good. We have until Feb. 7 that we can walk away for any reason. Keep your fingers and toes crossed for us!

Just a Check-Up

We had another quick check-up this week. All is good. I am so excited that I can still eat cookies! Nora is growing right on track...a little big, but Doc thought maybe she just had a little growth spurt. Should I tell her I have a nephew that was almost 11lbs. and it is more than likely she is just going to be BIG! I guess you never really know. We made the rest of our two week appointments and George freaked when he realized that our last 2 week interval will put us into March and that is only 3 appointments away! And we all know once we hit March it can really be almost at any time...YIKES! Where did the time go?!?!?!

Checkup

We had another baby doc appointment. I was lucky enough to drink a very fabulous drink that tasted much like a flat orange crush in order to check my sugar levels. I haven't heard any results yet. They told me they would call by Monday if anything was abnormal. I keep my fingers crossed that all is okay, but with the amount of my Aunt Theresa's fudge I ate over the holidays I am not sure I am so confident! As for Nora, her heart rate is right were it is supposed to be; however the doctor did comment that she is measuring a little on the LARGE side. I am not too shocked...after all look at the babies my mom and sister had, but maybe a little bit worried that it may be the sugar stuff. I guess I will know more after the weekend if I am just going to have a big baby or if it is something else. I also had the rhogam shot which was pretty uneventful except for not warning me it was a shot in the behind! They do tell me not to worry...I will be a LOT less modest after the birth. Ha!! Lastly, our latest assignment is to monitor the baby's kicks and movements. Ten movements in two hours is the goal. So far she has been plenty active for me and we more than reach that goal in 30 minutes or less! And George and I are really enjoying taking that time to pay her a little one-on-one attention.

Well, we are on our final trimester...and I think it is going to fly by! With house hunting, childbirth classes, more baby doc appointments...Nora is going to be here before we know it! Yes, we are very excited for her arrival, but right now I really like where she is and she is more than welcome to stay put for 3 more months!!!! Of course the new bet among our workout buddies is when she will make her big appearance and one of them said she is going to be a St. Patty's day baby...I hope he is WRONG! :-)

Good Check Up

We had our baby doc appointment last night. All seems good. Basically, it was just a heart beat check...still staying strong around 155. And Little Bit won the most coopertive award of the day and stayed in one spot long enough to get a good reading unlike the other babies yesterday. We're so proud.

Our next appointment we get to do another sonogram. I am very excited to see Little Bit again and how much he/she has changed from the first picture! We also might get to find out if it is a boy or girl. George is still sure he wants to find out and I think I am swaying that way...my lack of patience is finally winning this battle...ha! It will also be fun since my parents will be in town and I will get to pick on my dad about knowing or not knowing since he doesn't want to find out!

And just a little story to let you know what a good fit our doctor is for us...well...those who know me well know my fetish for fun socks...I cannot stand those plain white things people put on their feet...we must have color, designs, FUN!!!! Well, in celebration for Halloween, George noticed our doctor has witches on her feet and she was very proud of her socks! I knew we picked good!!!! Little Bit is in good hands (or shall I say feet)!
