Weekend Mornings

These past few weeks have been too hot to go outside when we get home from work. So we promised Nora we would go out on Saturday. So, Mommy and Daddy woke up early, made some coffee and headed out EARLY Saturday morning (7am) to "enjoy" the day while we could. Daddy took advantage of raking and watering the yard and Nora just enjoyed it!!! We sang Itsy Bitsy Spider (Nora danced and signed), helped Daddy, played in the water, relaxed on the steps and made handprints on the cement. That pretty much sums it up. Phew, all that in only 2 hours!!!

A Bunch of Firsts

Nora had a bunch of firsts on our trip to NY.
Here's the list...started saying "that", "weeee" and "up", rolled down a hill, got "mulled" by two beagles and a German Shepard, rode a 4 wheeler, a tractor and a horse, fed a goat, got licked by a cow, played put put (well kind of), was taught how to spit (I don't think she caught on thankfully) and stayed in a hotel. Not bad for a girl under a year and a half.

Mom and Dad realized their baby girl loves all animals...any shape and size...and the bigger and sloppier the kiss the better! I think she was slimed for more than half the trip thanks to dogs, goats and cows. We realized that dad stands for both Mommy and Daddy and the words 'Dad', 'dog' and 'that' sound oddly the same (only the trained ear of a Mommy or Daddy can distinguish). We realized she can say more words but pulls them out only when needed such as trying to get out of Aunt Heather's arms so she told her Daddy, "UP, UP!"

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN

I can hardly believe my Missy Moo...my baby girl...my Kelsey is 16. Time flies and they have been the best sixteen years ever. We are so lucky to have you in our lives Kelsey! I love you so much. Happy Birthday!!!

Now everybody hold on tight...she's in the drivers seat!!!

We're in NY

and have been for almost a week. We are getting ready to leave for home tomorrow. It is always bitter sweet...coming home is awesome but it always means you have to leave. Enough of that. We are having a great time and as always the word relaxing never entered our vocabulary. We did so much. We spent a ton of time with family and even got to hook up with an old college friend who just happened to have a little boy a year older than Nora...the possibilities...hee hee. It was so great seeing everyone and it was the first time I got to meet Mr. Jacob! More pics to follow when we get back to Big D!

Mommom teaching me "he loves me, he loves me not."

Papa giving me my first tractor ride.

Wee...my cousin Evan showed me how to roll down the hill!!!! Wee!!!

And I even met new friends...or possibly a future husband!!!

15 Months

Little Bit is already 15 months...well...a little past now since I've been a very bad blogger lately. She is growing right on track and the doc said she looked great!

She is 31 and 3/4" and 22lbs 11.5oz. That puts her in the 50-75th percentile on height and 50th percentile in weight. Regardless of the inches, pounds, ounces and percentiles she is absolutely perfect to us!!

Did I tell you we've had to implement time outs already. I thought it was terrible two's and three's...nobody mentioned anything about one's. The moral of the time outs is that we have a hitter. I guess I would choose a hitter over a biter...but seriously...15 months and it is already starting. YIKES. Although I have to say she's pretty cute when she's in trouble...I'll have to get pics soon.

And finally...we have found the kitties and love to love on them. The kitties simply find it irritating, but Nora is just being a sweet little sister to them that wants to pet and hug on them. She gets swatted on occasion, but I cannot fault the cats although you would think they just peed in her cheerios or something.
